To MINI-MOON or not to mini-moon?

Mini-moons have become the new hot trend over recent years. There are many reasons couples are choosing to mini-moon and wait a few months before embarking on their main honeymoon.

Wedding planning is overwhelming and you may find yourself with limited time to plan the honeymoon you always dreamed of, you may be restricted with work, your honeymoon destination may have opposing seasons to the country you are getting married in, you may be doing a honeymoon fund, you may need to save more – the reasons are endless!!

A mini-moon is a great way to recharge your batteries and spend some romantic, quality time together. The days after the wedding are a mixture of emotions and taking some quiet time for a couple days can be very rewarding. You could even use this moment to plan the main event!

1. You can reduce travel time, keep it local and still feel like you are switched off from the outside world

2. It allows you a couple extra months to save up for your dream destinations

3. You can treat this as a honeymoon preview

4. You have time to save up more holiday days and go for the full two weeks you always dreamed of

5. You can get creative – sometimes there are hidden gem holiday destinations on your door step that you would never visit because they are ‘too’ close to home
